LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 15, 2022) – Hollenbach Oakley and its affiliate, Horizon Commercial Realty, are grateful to take part in the development and leasing of the Class A Louisville Logistics Park, in partnership with Boyd Company
Louisville Logistics Park, located off Cevil Avenue in the West End, has been in the works for over two years. The park will include 1.3 million square feet, with an estimated six or seven buildings. The over 100 acres, will be utilized for light manufacturing and assembly, warehouse distribution and office.
The first steps of the project will be a new entrance to the park, so that trucks will not longer be traveling on Cecil Avenue, creating a clear road for residents. Hollenbach Oakley anticipates a spring groundbreaking for Louisville Logistics Park, finishing around the fall. Following, site work on Building 1 will begin soon after, and additional buildings will be completed from 2023 to 2028. Horizon Commercial Realty will work to market the park to lease.
The site, located 10 miles from the airport, has access to major roads such as I-264 and Southwestern Parkway. Hollenbach Oakley also chose this area of town to develop in order to bring in a state-of-the-art business park to a sector that currently does not have access to one.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to develop nearly 80 acres in West Louisville for the Louisville Logistics Center offering 1.3 million square feet of industrial warehouse and office buildings,” Monty Boyd, chairman and CEO of Boyd Company, said in an email.
are moving through this process thoughtfully, strategically, and respectfully – keeping our Boyd Company employees located at this site and our neighbors all in mind. Projects like this do not happen overnight, and no immediate change is expected to impact the day-to-day operations of our Louisville Branch and Boyd Truck Center located on the property. Through the initial stages of the project, we have strived to keep our community and employees up-to-date on our progress in a timely manner and we plan to continue this approach.”
