With a foundation in architectural training and a career defined by precision, integrity, and leadership, Greg Oakley oversees all phases of design and construction for Hollenbach Oakley. His meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality have earned him a reputation as a trusted and results-driven development leader.
Greg launched his real estate career as a Project Manager for a national consulting firm, where he contributed to nearly 200 projects across the eastern United States, representing up to $500 million in investment. He later served as Director of Development and Construction for NTS Development’s Commercial Properties Group before partnering with John Hollenbach in 1997. Together, they have delivered transformative projects including Blankenbaker Crossings, Eastpoint Business Center, Blankenbaker Station, Oldham Reserve, Simpsonville Commons, and Lynn Family Stadium - home of Louisville City FC. Collectively, Hollenbach Oakley’s developments encompass over 3,500 acres and more than $2.5 billion in investment, supporting thousands of jobs and driving economic growth across the region.
In 2006, Greg co-founded Horizon Commercial Realty, a full-service brokerage, property management, and investment firm that now manages more than 2 million square feet of office, medical, retail, and industrial space.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, Greg has been a member of the national, state, and local chapters of the American Institute of Architects since 1991. He also completed civil engineering coursework at the University of Louisville’s J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
Committed to giving back, Greg serves on the Board of Trustees at St. Joseph Children’s Home and is the founder of Beckham’s Buddies, a program that helps fundraise for Norton Children’s Cancer Institute. In 2024, Greg was honored with the “We Remember Louisville” Lifetime Achievement Award at the REACH Awards, recognizing his profound professional impact and philanthropic contributions to the commercial real estate industry and the community.
