Eaton Corporation

The requirements for our mission critical data facilities were myriad and complex. Eaton began with a nationwide search. We located one of our twin data centers in the Blankenbaker Station Business Park because the Park is more than just aesthetics. High-voltage, three-phase electric power is supplied from multiple substations; meaning the possibility of a total failure is dramatically reduced. Further protection is derived from completely buried power lines within the business park. The electric power in Louisville is among the top in the United Stated for reliability, affordability, and cleanliness.

Blankenbaker Station also enjoys the service benefits of telecommunication fiber from no less than five competing providers. The Ohio Valley, itself, has few natural disasters, stable soil, and geology. Moderate weather, air quality, low cost of living, and proximity to cultural centers and transportation round out other economic and societal considerations.

Of course, we cannot discount the architectural controls and covenants that have been in place since Blankenbaker Station first broke ground. For us, this gives assurance that our property investment will grow for years to come.

Joe Kelley

President & CEO
Kelley Construction

Kelley Construction moved into our new headquarters in September, 2010, located at 12550 Lake Station Place in Blankenbaker Station Business Park. The new 21,000-square-foot corporate headquarters overlooks a 10-acre lake.

“It’s a beautiful site with beautiful vistas,” said Rob Donhoff, CEO of Tucker Booker Donhoff + Partners architectural firm, which designed the building. “We wanted to use a very elegant design and also be cost-efficient.”

We didn’t look at any other sites for our headquarters. We wanted a select location and we wanted to be in the path of progress. Blankenbaker Station suits Kelley Construction’s goals for now and the future and we are confident and pleased with our decision and the relationship we’ve built with the Park’s developers, Hollenbach-Oakley.

We are proud to serve over 6,000 businesses and individuals in the Louisville, Kentucky area. Our team of 15 producers and 32 staff members stands ready to bring the Van Zandt experience to all we serve.

As a company that can traces its roots back to 1914, we knew we needed a firm with reliability as well as vision to create our new headquarters. Hollenbach-Oakley found an excellent location on the corner of Plantside Drive and Tucker Station Road, which is at the entrance to the new Blankenbaker Station development. They paced us through every step of planning and construction of our traditional two-story brick building. Hollenbach-Oakley’s communication was clear and understandable through all the phases, from building design to color choices for the walls.
